Pulled Pork Sandwich!

Happy Independence Day from everyone at Harvest Kitchen! We hope you’re all enjoying time with friends and family this holiday.  We also want to take time to be thankful to all the farmers and farm workers who grow our food.  We also want to celebrate all the different cultures which have contributed to American culture, so we can truly say that a diverse menu of flavors can be quintessentially *American* food this 4th of July.  Finally, as we reflect on this holiday, we want to consider our Interdependence with other beings on this earth, such as insect, animals, plants, and trees.  Happy Independence and Interdependence day to all!

Here’s the menu for this week:

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches –Our delicious pulled pork sandwich features tender, slow-cooked pork seasoned to perfection with our homemade BBQ sauce and is served with a homemade wheat bun from our friends at River Street Bakery. We’re also including a tiny tub of dill pickles. (Gluten Free without buns) Filling for two sandwiches with two buns $12
Italian Zucchini Pie with Sausage –  Homemade herbed crust is the perfect background for this flavorful quiche-style filling.  Zucchini plays a role, of course, but we also feature local dairy, more of that delicious kilebasa, and so many herbs.  7″ pie – $16
Braised Collards with Ham Hocks – A summer classic, hearty collard greens are cooked to tender, savory perfection with smoked ham hocks from Black Oak Farms. Gluten free. Pint $7.50
Asian-style Picnic Slaw– Crisp and deliious napa cabbage, cucumbers, radishes, and more are a delightful picnic salad, especially when paired with gingery-mayo dressing Gluten Free. Pint $8 or Half Pint $5
Salad Mix with House Dressing  — A delicious green salad blend featuring fresh seasonal greens from a variety of local farms, paired with our delicious seasonal salad dressing.  5 oz salad with 4 oz dressing $8
