With summer temperatures finally upon us (and a desperate need for rain) I thought today would be a good time to reprise a post I wrote last summer about our awesome curried chicken salad.

This week I want to direct your attention to our curried chicken salad.  Those in the know are probably already paying attention–it’s delicious.  One friend refers to it as “danger salad” because you think you’re just going to eat a bite and then you find yourself finishing the whole container!

Here’s what makes our chicken salad special: we roast organic chickens from Millers organic cooperative (near the Indiana-Michigan border, in our local foodshed!).  We pick the chickens, including breast and dark meat. Then we mix them with local honey and onions, organic pumpkin seeds and currants, organic mayonnaise, and a host of delicious organic spices.  Our chicken salad is the perfect blend of creamy and flavorful, with plenty of Indian spices but not much HOT spiciness.  Many customers praise our chicken salad over similar products from other sources.  We’re not sure what sets us apart, but we suspect it’s our fantastic ingredients and small batch quality.
