Look for Magdiale (and the HK sign which his kids are going to help touch up) at the Farmers Market

If you’ve come to the Farmers Market lately you might’ve noticed a new face behind the HK stand (or, alternatively, if you couldn’t find the HK stand, it might be because there’s a new face there).  It’s our new Chef, Magdiale, who’s lending a hand with Farmers Market.  In the coming weeks, he’ll likely be there more often than Mary will be.  Don’t worry, though–Magdiale is very knowledgeable and friendly, so don’t be shy about asking any questions or sharing any feedback you may have.

A little background on Magdiale–he’s been making a splash in the Ann Arbor food scene for the past few years, ever since he moved here with his family from Columbus, Ohio, where he used to run a vegan restaurant.  Magdiale’s been involved in a lot of great projects since moving here, including revamping the menu at BTB Cantina, helping develop new products for Locavorious, and even lending his perspective to management at Community Farm of Ann Arbor and the Washtenaw Food Hub.  We’re delighted to have him on board at Harvest Kitchen.  His enthusiasm is infectious and we appreciate his experience and adaptability.

Mary will be putting in an appearance at Farmers Market from time to time, but after 7 years of Farmers Market she’s excited to have Saturdays free for family and friends.
